Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week aims to highlight sexual violence and abuse in society. In 2021 we're taking our campaign completely online, and having our conversations about sexual violence online to raise awareness that in terms of sexual violence #itsnotok.

We've planned a week of online activities which put our students at the heart of the conversation,  and which focus on 1) raising awareness of sexual violence, 2) highlighting the powerful and important role we can all play as bystanders, and 3) highlight what we can do to look after ourselves and others with a range of resources on self care.

The Launch 

We’re launching the week with a series of events; the launch of; 
  1. the second series of our podcast series “give us a smile”, 
  2. a video from Jamie our SU president, 
  3. an online Q&A answering your questions on sexual violence, and 
  4. the launch of our self-care activities. 

The day will end with an online LIGHT UP THE NIGHT event.

Art can be a powerful way to spread important messages and raise awareness of challenging social issues.
